Summit push tomorrow (27th May)

Stuart called to confirm that they would be making another summit push setting off tomorrow.

The plan:
Starting tomorrow they will climb to C1.
Up to C2 on Saturday 28th.
Up to C3 on Sunday 29th leaving in the evening to climb overnight to..
Everest Summit on Monday the 30th then descending to C2 or C1.
Back to ABC for Tuesday 31st.

Everyone is well although a little weaker... feeling the effects of living at such altitudes for an extended time.

The team will be going up in groups of 3 and assure everyone that the utmost care will be taken for a safe return.

There may not be any news for a few days unless Dr John is able to get through by satellite phone.

Dear Uncle Stuart.
I saw Mount Everest on Newsround yesterday morning, but I couldn't tell which was you because everyone had a beard. Mum says that your's would be the ginger one, but I'm not sure.....
Guess what? I can ride my bike without stabilizers now (Ben), so when you get back we could go for a bike ride.
We went orienteering on Low Rigg. I (Ben) ran really fast, and took turns with the dibber.
We like your arch. Did it take you long to build? We're going to have a go at making one in the garden.
Looking forward to seeing you soon. Good Luck, we're thinking about you lots.

Love Ben and Sam xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

'Use the force' boys, as good old Yoda would say. Take care of each other, don't forget your sandwiches and enjoy the views.

Best of luck with the summit attempt and a safe return.

And loads of love to my Tim.
